Roddy has two passions in life: dentistry & sport! With extensive experience and technical knowledge, having been in the business for the past 30 years, he opened Sunshine Dental in 2007. He studied for an advanced diploma in Toronto, Canada before qualifying through the Royal College of Surgeons as a Clinical Dental Technician. Roddy prides himself in delivering truly exceptional standards of craftsmanship to restore smiles. When not dedicating his care and attention to his patients you will find him on the golf course or enjoying watching Rugby. He is a member of the British Clinical Dental Technicians Association www.bacdt.org.uk.
Vishal Rana – Dentist

Vishal joined our team in January 2015 having worked within the Nottinghamshire area since qualifying from the University of Prague in 2009. He has an informative and relaxing chair side manner providing a reassuring, comfortable, calming environment putting patients at ease with their treatment. He strongly believes that education and prevention is the best way to achieve good oral health. Outside of dentistry, he is a keen sports man with special interests in cricket and football.
Rebecca Muir – Dental Hygienist
Rebecca prides herself on quality in all aspects of her care and with her patience and understanding her work is always carried out to the highest standard. Her treatments are always tailored to meet individual patient’s needs and delivered with her professional and approachable manner. She is always ready and willing to listen to the needs of any anxious patients to discuss their treatment options.
Rebecca has three children and also an active lifestyle. She loves to keep up to date and is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygienist and Therapists. She completed the London marathon, is a qualified ballet teacher and loves to dance herself.
Robert Cope – Implant Dentist

Robert Cope is our implant surgeon and has over 25 years’ experience qualifying from Birmingham dental hospital in 1992. He has worked in the oral surgery department and has gained a certificate in restorative dentistry in 1998. He uses only the finest dental implants for reliability and works closely with Roddy our clinical dental technician to produce beautiful, strong natural looking teeth. We find that with extensive training and experience, coupled with the use of fantastic implants and laboratory techniques we produce consistently great results.
Jan is a Director and front of house manager of Sunshine Dental and has a background in customer service management. She has been instrumental in setting up the practice and you will be greeted with her friendly caring attitude and calm manner ensuring your visit to us is relaxing and enjoyable. Outside of work she is committed to the Pets at Therapy and loves taking Isla her golden doodle to our local hospice.
Vikki our Practice Manager has over 25 years’ experience in dentistry coming from a busy NHS practice to join Sunshine Dental. She has a wealth of knowledge and thoroughly enjoys her various roles within the practice. When not at work Vikki enjoys cycling, badminton, walking and spending time with her labradoodle, Teagan.
Amanda has been a qualified dental nurse/radiographer for 27 years and excels in reassuring patients especially during treatments. She is a caring, compassionate and supportive nurse and likes to ensure patients have a pleasurable experience when visiting us. Her spare time is spent looking after her family and walking her dog, Marley.
Gemma joined the practice in 2017, having moved from Mansfield, and has been a great addition to our team. Gemma has been a dental nurse for over 20 years and her role within the practice is to ensure you feel at ease and comfortable from the minute you walk into the practice. With her professional manner, she assists our clinicians in all aspect of patient care and her aim is to make sure you feel relaxed making your journey here at Sunshine dental a pleasant experience.
In her spare time, Gemma is a keen fitness enthusiast, training 5 times a week.
Karen has been a receptionist for many years and understands the importance of excellent customer service which is why you will always be greeted with a smile. Karen particularly loves the challenge of making anxious patients feel relaxed and confident and loves seeing the end results of our patients’ journey to get their perfect smile.
In her spare time, she is kept busy with her grandchildren as well as her 2 dogs, Barney & Lilly.
